Sunday.

Lord let your light shine one me.
Pslam 4:6

:::So, I was going to post a picture of a beautiful sunshiney summer day, but thought that would be cruel-to those of us here in the freezing cold northwest. I thought I would stay true to the season:::

Word Collage

Here is a do-it-yourself project. It is really simple. Simple is good right? Thought so!

What you need: a printer, a favorite font, and your favorite bible verses.
I downloaded this font a while ago, it is called pupcat and it is free to download. Just google it.

{Don't mind the smudgy finger prints on the glass or the banged up frame-you get the idea right?}

You can do these for any occassion. This word collage just happens to have some of my favorite Christmas bible verses.

Make your own wreath

I have been wanting a wreath.

It's just one of those things that isn't a necessity-so it always gets put on the back burner.

But wait!

Check this out:

A wreath made out of paper-I can do this!

This is a perfect project for all my scraps of paper, and I have lots of scraps.

Click here for the instructions if you want to make your own.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We come to this table today, O Lord, humble and thankful and glad. We thank thee first for the great miracle of life, for the exaltation of being human, for the capacity to love. We thank Thee for joys both great and simple-For wonder, dreams and hope; For the newness of each day; For laughter and song and a merry heart; For compassion waiting within to be kindled; For the forbearance of friends and the smiles of a stranger; For the arching of the earth and trees and heavens and the fruit of all three; For the wisdom of the old; For the courage of the young; For the promise of the child; For the strength that comes when needed; For this family united here today. Of those to whom much is given, much is required. May we and our children remember this.
Amen.

{I found this prayer in the Today section of the Spokesman Review last year, Nov 2008  and I wanted to share it with everyone. Happy Thanksgiving!}

Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man
did not come to be served,
but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45

This is my theme verse for the week. Fitting for a busy, holiday, family filled week is it not?

I want to encourage you to memorize it too. Write it on a notecard and carry it with you. Put it by your kitchen sink, write it on your bathroom mirror in lipstick, eyeliner, whatever is on hand...

Let this be a week, that you can show Gods love to others by serving one another. I will do my best!

multitude monday

Here is my Multitude Monday post-a day late....again. I have a very good excuse though, I spent yesterday at my sisters house chatting and drinking coffee... oh wait, I suppose that isn't a very good excuse afterall! Oh well.

Well here it is, a day late:

Friday night.

There's a knock at the door. We're not expecting anyone.

It's our neighbor and fellow growth group goer. {FYI growth group is what we call our bible study}

He has a few envelopes in his hands and says they are from the people in our growth group.

We had no idea....NO idea what on earth they could be.

We settle into the couch and open them up.

Our wonderful growth group wanted to send us on a date night and to a hockey game-what?!? Yup. They just thought that after the miscarriage we could use a night out and some cheering up.

Isn't that lovely of them?

Oh, and they even offered free babysitting.

:)

#142.

I am so thankful for all of those thoughtful people, who surprised us immensely with such a wonderful gift! And truely, it's not even so much the gift as it is the thought behind it!

Isn't that such a great example of the love that the body of Christ has for one another? It really blessed us, to know that we have such kind and caring people around us, who will see us through hard times and rejoice with us in good times.

That is what I am thankful for! Really, truly from the very bottom of my heart.

The winner is:

Christielulu #7 chosen by random.org.

Congrautlations Christie!

Please contact me {since you didn't leave any contact info} so I can get you set up!

Party Favors!

What do you get when you have a sister in law who is a Stampin' Up demonstrator and has a TON of stamps, die-cuts, a Sizzix machine, and stamp pads in more colors than I even knew existed? You get cute stuff, that's what you get!

Yesterday I got to play around with all of Perris craft supplies and I made these cute little bags out of a die-cut she had. I thoughts they would make cute little Thanksgiving plate decorations/or favors. I was thinking of filling them up with a Thanksgiving bible verse and some candy corn or something.

I might have to make some with Christmas paper too!

Stay tuned later today for the winner of the small journal giveaway!
